Yesterday, as part of the Lora Book Club, we were reviewing the book “You’re Not Broke, You’re Pre-Rich” by Mapalo Makhu.
One of the things that stood out to me as an intriguing takeaway from the book was how different people have different personalities toward money.
Here’s a brief summary of each money personality:
- The Spender: This money personality enjoys spending money and may struggle with impulse buying and overspending.
- The Saver: This money personality prioritises saving and may struggle with spending money, even on things they need.
- The Avoider: This money personality avoids thinking about money and may struggle with budgeting and financial planning.
- The Monk: This money personality prioritises simplicity and minimalism, and may find it difficult to spend money on anything that doesn’t align with their values.
- The Amasser: This money personality focuses on accumulating wealth and may struggle with spending money on anything that doesn’t contribute to their financial goals.
- The Giver: This money personality enjoys giving to others and may struggle with prioritising their own financial needs and goals.
Understanding your money personality can be helpful in identifying your strengths and weaknesses when it comes to managing money, and can help you develop strategies to improve your financial situation.
Which money personality are you?
