
Two strangers helped me on my recent travels. Both times, I did something wrong that could have made things worse.
On both occasions, random acts of kindness from strangers were the saving grace I needed.
When a complete stranger offers assistance to you, a curious thing takes place. At first, you are astonished and somewhat wary, but after some time, you come to realise that the other person is genuine, and you begin to feel grateful toward them.
Being on the receiving receiving such thoughtfulness is great. Every time I felt grateful and relieved.
These events have also made me question the frequency with which I have been that type of stranger to other people.
Answer: not as regularly as I’d want.
