What would you draw on a blank sheet of paper if you knew it was going to be thrown away as soon as you finished it?

The challenging aspect of this question is not about the subject matter of the drawing…

The tricky aspect is that you would really end up drawing something.

You are well aware that it will be thrown away. All outside judgement is gone. Create something on paper, and then toss it.

After 100 times, you might forget to toss it away.

Perhaps you won’t have the urge to get rid of it after all.

Perhaps you’ll get the need to show it to someone.

and with that, you are on your way to start innovating.

To innovate, you have to start with something that might not work, and after 100 tries, you might have something that’s good enough to keep and show to other people.
