A kid selling lemonade on the street has a far different vibe than a vending machine selling the same thing.

In cases where two otherwise identical products are being sold, it is the story that ultimately wins over consumers.

Once you hear a story, you will never forget it.

As a result, when I meet startup entrepreneurs, I don’t ask them about their balance sheets but about their stories.

As an entrepreneur, it’s more crucial to tell a compelling story than to share your balance sheet.
