No one is ignoring you, they are just simply waiting for you to succeed.

They are waiting for you to announce your accomplishments before they move you up on their priority list.

It’s all a status game.

When you’re a no-one, no one cares about you. When you become successful, everyone around you will suddenly treat you as the smartest, most amazing person. It’s like overnight, they’re drawn to you, laugh at your jokes and take pictures with you.

The thing is when you lose everything, the same people who said I will never leave you, see how they run and don’t want to be associated with you.

There are people who can be considered loyal friends, and then there are people who are drawn to people who are in positions of authority.

There are true friends, and then there are “friends” who are attracted to you because of your newfound success. These new “friends” are attracted to your position, not you.

The gift of true friendship is rare.

It is important to have a solid understanding of both the people who join your circle of friends after you achieved success and the people who were your friends and had faith in you while you were still a rough diamond before your success.

True friends cared for you when nobody knew you. Those people are rare, look after them.

Don’t lose sight of your real friends because you’re now rubbing shoulders with people you used to only see on television.

Hold your peace and keep quiet in your success, just as you did in your struggles.
