“When you pray regularly, you never know when God will show up or speak up. Today could be the day. When you live in prayer mode, you live with holy anticipation. You know that coincidences are providences. Any moment can turn into a holy moment. God can invade the reality of your life at three o’clock one afternoon and change everything.”
As I was mulling over this paragraph from The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson, a thought occurred to me that sometimes we need to thank God for what didn’t happen to us.
God’s protection is when nothing horrible happens to us, we weren’t in a strange accident, we weren’t seduced by the enemy, we are just leading a life that seems uninteresting, but emotionally and spiritually there is chaos going around us that we are sheltered from by God’s grace.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of need. Sometimes in times that we don’t even know we need Him, He is there.
So so true. ‘Suddenly’ moments. We must remain expectant at all times.
