Are the decisions you’re making in the business on daily basis ones that will free you from the business or ones that will enslave you to the business?
The thing is, if you are unable to take time off away from the business, you are essentially employed by the business that you own.
You are considered to be self-employed if you are employed by your own business.
You and the business are essentially inseparable from one another. You and the business are one.
When you retire from a self-employed business, the business also retires at the same time as you do.
It is impossible to sell a business in which you are self-employed without first selling yourself.
The long-term goal is to build a business that can run successfully in the absence of the owner.
