“Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” — Albus Dumbledore

A teammate reminded me of this idea the other day.

In Genesis 1 from verse 3 to 29 God said a number of things which came into existence.

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light [verse 3].

And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light [verse 6].

And God said, “Let the water under the sky be gathered to one place, and let dry ground appear.” And it was so [verse 9].

Words are powerful.

Words can build and they can destroy.

We should not take the words we use for granted.
