He started Silulo Ulutho Technologies with his brother in 2004 after leaving teaching to be an entrepreneur. 15 years later they have 43 one stop shop IT centres in 3 provinces [Western Cape, Eastern Cape and KwaZulu-Natal] and employ over 250 staff.
He has seen it all, from one of their franchise stores being set on fire, money being stolen from their bank account, gangsters breaking in and stealing from their stores, and his life being threatened if he does not pay them “protection fee.” His story is like stuff movies are made of, but Luvuyo Rani remains resolute in the face of adversity. He is one of Africa’s impactful and remarkable entrepreneur.
