Commitment is easy.
All it takes is a few works and, on occasion, a signature. But, commitments rarely do much on their own.
But just committing is not enough.
Every great thing we are capable of building – relationships, businesses, trust among others, are built on the foundation of re-commitment.
Thus, what a person commits to says little about them.
How often they re-commit to what they commit to, on the other hand, says plenty about their character.
There is nothing as important as the act of re-committing because stumbling and falling as we pursue goals or meaningful habits are inevitable.
And, recommitting is the equivalent of the quiet voice that reminds us that failure is not the falling down, it is the staying down.
Don’t just commit, commit to recommit.
