… Well one of the best advice I have ever received is from Seth Godin, he didn’t give it to me directly, but it was through his blog in 2011.

The advice is simply:

Pick yourself, stop waiting for someone to pick you, pick yourself.

It was this advice that prompted me to stop seeking approval, or wanting to belong to group of insiders.

This is the advice that kept me going when I left corporate to start my entrepreneurship career eleven years ago.

Even today, that advice still resonates with me as crystal as the first time I read it in 2011.

A few days ago, I bumped into this interview, I don’t know how it ended up on my screen but here it is…

I hardly ask anyone to read or watch anything on my blog, but for the first time I would like to ask you to please watch this video:

“There is no prince charming in this story. There is no rescue boat No one is coming. Stop waiting to be picked. Pick yourself…”

Thank you Seth, and thank you Bryan Elliott for the reminder.

  1. Thank you, thank you. It is really amazing listening to Seth Godin. I am very fortunate to have received advices from Gladwell, Taleb, Christensen, Covey, and Wiseman. This is is really the power of the internet. Thanks for sharing Roche, you are amazing and you matter.
