What if life was a classroom, but you did not know it?
Look around you.
Are you paying attention?
Have you been daydreaming or skipping class altogether? Or worse, knowingly ignoring the signals?
When my father passed on last November, I was shuttered, I’m still shuttered, but his passing has left me with a lot of lessons.
Like Dr. Kaone-Panzirah Mabaka said in his TEDxGaborone talk recently: “People teaches us a lot of things when they are alive, but even when they die, their death leaves us with lessons.”
I believe life is a classroom.
Only those who are willing to be lifelong learners will move to the head of the class.
Have you become a student to your life?
The perfect place to start is, conveniently, right where you are standing. Look around you. Everything in your life is trying to teach you something.
If you pay attention, you will begin to see the patterns.
Only when you decide to listen and respond will your life begin to change.
It will not be easy. It will often feel like chaos and destruction.
However, after the trial of your lesson, there will always be peace and indistinguishable evidence you are moving in the right direction.
